Changes in traffic organisation around the Fair ground

Traffic organisation will be change from the 3rd of September 2011 due to road construction works in Kaponiera roundabout

Due to the construction works from the 3rd of September 2011 traffic will be closed on
- the eastern lane together with the sidewalk and tramway in the Roosevelta street from Dworcowy bridge to the Kaponiera roundabout,  

- the northern lane of Bukowska street from Roosevelta street to the Sheraton hotel,
- the northern lane of Zwierzyniecka street from Zeyland street to the Kaponiera roundabout,
- there will be no possibility to access Roosevelt street from the Kaponiera roundabout in the section to Bukowska street

Temporary traffic organisation will apply for the duration of the construction works.

From the west (from Grunwald and Junikowo) drivers can get through Bukowska and Grunwaldzka streets to Roosevelta street from where they will have a single traffic lane at their disposal on the western side of Roosevelta street towards Dworcowy bridge. They will also be able to go towards the Kaponiera roundabout driving the western lane of Roosevelta street (and a temporary crossing). There will be no possibility to access Zeylanda street from Bukowska street. 

From the south (from Górczyn) there will be a bypass of the closed eastern lane of Roosevelta street through Dworcowy bridge, Stanisława Matyi street through the new crossroad to  Powstańców Wielkopolskich street, Aleje Niepodległości, Swięty Marcin street to the Kaponiera roundabout or: Dworcowy bridge - Stanisława Matyi street - Aleje Niepodległości - Święty Marcin street to the Kaponiera street. 

 
From the north (from Piątkowo and Winogrady) and from the east (Święty Marcin street) there will be no possibility to access the western lane of Roosevelta street from the Kaponiera roundabout in the section to Bukowska street. Drivers must use the bypass consisting of Zwierzyniecka and Zeylanda streets - two traffic lanes, through a temporary crossing to Bukowska street and then to Roosevelta street. Note! Zeyland street will be a one-way street: from Zwierzyniecka street to Bukowska street.

The scheduled date of completion of the first stage of work is the 30th of April 2010. The second stage, in the section from Uniwersytecki bridge to Teatralny bridge together with reworking of the underground passage will start on the 1st of August 2012. The completion of contracted work is scheduled to the 30th of November 2013.
